Bio

Rabbi Shimshon HaKohen Nadel is an educator, musician, and author. He lives with his family in Jerusalem where he teaches Torah, inspired by the Land and her people.  He heads Yeshivat Torat HaAretz – the Har Nof Community Kollel, a Beit Midrash and Kollel training young Jewish leaders ready to face today’s challenges. He has written for The Jerusalem Post, The Jewish Press, Aish.com, Arutz 7′s Israel National News, YNet, Kolmus (Mishpacha Magazine’s Journal of Torah and Jewish Thought), and Segula. Rabbi Nadel is regular guest on Galei Yisrael and Kol Yisrael, offering up inspiration for the Israeli FM listening audience.

Before making aliyah, Rabbi Nadel served as a Synagogue Rabbi in Nebraska and Connecticut. He studied at Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary under HaRav Moshe Dovid Tendler.

A sought after lecturer, he has served as scholar in residence for communities all over the world. Culling from sources throughout our rich literature, his classes display his depth of thought and breadth of scholarship, and are always full of wit, wisdom and inspiration.

An accomplished musician, Rabbi Nadel has toured internationally as a solo act and along with his band, inspiring Jewish communities all over the world. His highly acclaimed CD, Achas Shoalti – One Thing I Ask, a high-energy hybrid of rock, pop, folk, and blues has been called by critics, “passionate rock n’ roll for the soul.”
